• Student will learn how to properly sound each letter to help make putting them into words much easier AND FUN.
• Student will learn to properly write the letter and recognize both upper and lowercase form while having FUN.
• Student will learn to READ not just memorize 2 and 3 letter words. They will know how to read it, they will know how to spell it, and they will know how to write it.
• Tips will be given to parents to help their child not forget what they learned in between our classes.
• Students will progress to reading bigger words, learning to read written text, and answering questions about the text to encourage reading comprehension.

HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE?

Great Question! Reading is an amazing exercise and experience for the brain. Depending on the age and initial interest in reading the student has could affect their rate of progress. Also, it depends on how much reading takes place at home each day. However, I can say that after each lesson with me, you should see improvement from the previous lesson. 

HOW MANY DAYS SHOULD MY CHILD HAVE TUTORING FOR READING?

Another great question! This is best answered after an initial consultation with the student to determine their reading and comprehension level. Typically, I would recommend no less than one hour a week, whether that's 2 half hour lessons or 1-hour lesson per week.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? 

$56 per hour of one -on-one live online lesson. (billed monthly)

In person rate may vary depending on location. Please contact us if you would like to have in person reading lessons.

HOW DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT?

We will email you an invoice at the beginning of each month for the scheduled dates of service. Invoices can be paid using Debit, Credit or ACH. If you prefer to use Zelle, we can arrange that for you as well. 

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

We do not issue refunds. However, we can, if possible, reschedule for another day/time to make up the lesson. We can only issue ONE makeup session per month. 

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS SPECIAL NEEDS?

You are in the right place. We have worked with students of various learning, physical, mental, and emotional disabilities. Before we begin it's important that we make sure that we are a good fit for you. So please contact us and schedule a time that is convenient for you and your child to meet the tutor. If we believe we would not be the best resource for you, we will give you our recommendation for other resources/tutors.
